Water Taxi from San Pedro, Ambergris Caye, Belize to Chetumal Mexico

by tacogirl

Yesterday Cindy, Michael and I took The San Pedro Water Jets water taxi from Belize to Mexico. It was Cindy and my first time but Michael had taken the trip a few times. We all had a ball and got starry eyed in Sam’s Club and Walmart – so much to look at. My big scores of the day were – artichokes – parmesan – olives and Bon Maman strawberry jam.

I will add more details later I am off in search of brownie mix – Erin and Rudy arrive tomorrow and that was one of her requests some homemade brownies – they have a kitchen at Caribbean Villas Resort and planned to cook some of their meals there.

I now have 3 blog posts on the go (soon to be 4) and have to make the loot bags for the stag and doe poker run tomorrow night starting at 6 pm. I have decided that it will all get done eventually and I am just going to chip away at it all bit by bit.

The boat ride only takes 90 minutes and you will travel in comfort and style with San Pedro Water Jets Express. Complimentary water and snack on return trip – leg room – pillows – personal fans- water bottle holders – movie.

I believe it is $US60 return – meaning a 2 way journey – there and back.

$US35 one way.

Any idea why the return is $25 more that the trip out? Maybe I am not reading the pricing correctly … $35 to get there and $60 to get back for a total of $95 USD? And, I am assuming that the cost is per person (there might be 5 of us or just one).

Will it be possible to meet you while we are there in June? If so, let us know where you like to have breakfast/lunch/dinner. Who knows, if we don’t spend all of our floating cash at Sam’s we might spring for a meal! LOL

I am planning a two week trip to Ambergris Caye in early June and am delighted to hear that there is a Sam’s Club near by (realatively speaking). How much is the Water Taxi round trip and how long did it take? I have been watching your updates and find them to be very informative. Thanks!
