BZE has re-opened – with limited service

There are plenty of great destinations that you can easily reach from Belize.

Tropic Air is the airline of Belize. Tropic offers many International flights linking several major cities in the Yucatan and Central America, but as you read further you will see that it’s not the only airline that services Belize to other Central American countries.

Belize – Mexico

Because of their close proximity to Belize, the Yucatan Peninsula and Cancun have long been popular destinations for those in Belize that are looking to take a shopping getaway or make an easier transition before heading stateside. If you are planning a trip there, then the Cancun Forum is a useful source for answers and information. You will find no shortage of things to do in Cancun, like explore cenotes, ancient ruins, tropical eco-parks and so much more. Stroll on the endless white-sand beaches and enjoy some great people watching. You will find there to be no shortage of food network quality Cancun Restaurants as well as good shopping and nighttime fun.

Tropic currently flies from Belize International Airport to Cancun, Mexico Monday, Friday and Saturday at 11:30 am, arriving in Cancun at 2:15 pm. The Belize – Cancun route is also a great way to travel for those looking to skip the United States on their way to Europe or Canada. The return flight from CUN-BZE departs Cancun at 3:00 pm.

Belize – Guatemala – No schedule to date

Spread your wings and fly on over to Flores, home of Tikal National ParkThis monumental Maya Ruin is worth seeing at sunrise or sunset, and staying at one of the 3 Hotels in the park makes it easy. Flights to Flores leave Philip Goldson International Airport at 4:40 pm daily and arrive at 5:25 pm

Belize – Honduras – No schedule to date

People who love Ambergris Caye often share a fondness with Roatan, the largest of the Bay Islands.

Current flights to Roatan run daily at 4:15 pm – 5:15 pm

Please note, the Government of Belize and the Belize Airport Authority require that all Belizean Airlines collect a $6.00 BZD rider fee on all ticket segments. The rider fee will be charged to every ticket issued regardless of any discount.

Belize – Panama

Copa Airlines – Scheduled Restart: January 8, 2021

It is now much easier to do a quick getaway from Belize to Panama. Flights run on Tuesdays and Fridays only but it is still so much more convenient than having to go through El Salvador as in the past.

Flights leaving Belize to Panama (BZE-PTY) depart on CM0281 at 2:20 pm and flights leaving from Panama (PTY-BZE) depart on CM0280 at 12:06 pm.

Belize – El Salvador

Tropic Air – San Salvador

Tropic Air announced that it will add a new international service to San Salvador, El Salvador (SAL) from Belize City, Philip Goldson International Airport (BZE). Flights are initially planned for three times per week. The start date is pending government approval.
