Tropic Air Flights and Procedures

Repeat visitors did the happy dance at this news back in 2014 ….. New Tropic Air Belize flights have been added to the Belize International – San Pedro (BZE-SPR) route. If you are a first timer and you have the opportunity to fly to Ambergris Caye, go for it. Not only is Tropic Air the country’s largest service provider offering private charters and regular cross-country flights, they also offer a wide range of great aerial tours. They are the top source for amazing aerial photography. For many, the flight to the colorful island tops the vacation highlights list. Please Note: Tropic now closes all domestic flights 20 minutes prior to departure. If you are not checked in prior to this time, your reservation will be canceled and your ticket may only be used for travel on the same day if space is available. Plan to be at the airport at least 30 minutes prior to your flight’s scheduled departure. If you are taking international Tropic Air flights to Belize or from Belize to Mexico, Honduras or Guatemala you must be at the airport one hour ahead of your departure time. If you are going to miss your flight or require a last minute change of plans, call Tropic Air at 501-226-2012 at least one hour before your scheduled flight. Return Ticket policy: Tropic Air is no longer offering open return ticket sales. All tickets must now be purchased with a return date which can be changed within the ticket rules and policy guidelines. If your return date is unknown, you may purchase a one-way ticket. After a Long Flight to Belize, You May Need a Cold Beverage

Favorite alcoholic beverages is a common question that comes up in relation to Belize travel and the following question is a great example: We are celebrating our 50th anniversary in San Pedro at a rented Villa. We are all drinkers. Beefeater Gin and Crown Royal mainly. How do alcohol prices compare to the US on those? Are there liquor stores there that are comparable in price or is duty-free the way to go??
