Tropic Air Opens Passenger Flights

As was expected not long after the water taxi was granted permission, Tropic Air Belize announced this morning that starting Monday, May 11th, limited in-country passenger flights will be available. Destinations to Corozal, Belize City Municipal, Caye Caulker, San Pedro, Placencia, Dangriga, and Punta Gorda are included. Flights will be operating on a select time and day schedule and based on demand. A flight schedule increase is possible depending on the need once things get underway.

• Until otherwise stated by Tropic, there will be no passenger or cargo flights during public or bank holidays.
• The flight schedule is subject to change due to unforeseen COVID-19 circumstances. Let’s hope not.
• International flights are still nonexistent for the time being as our borders remain closed.

Current Tropic Station Hours

Along with the upcoming new flight schedule, Tropic Air has also changed station hours to accommodate passengers.

Corozal: Monday, Wednesday and Friday – 7:00 am 2:00 pm
Belize City Municipal: Monday, Wednesday and Friday – 7:00 am to 5:00 pm
Belize City Municipal Cargo: Monday, Wednesday and Friday – 8:00 am to 2:00 pm
Caye Caulker: Monday, Wednesday and Friday – 7:00 am to 5:00 pm
San Pedro: Monday, Wednesday and Friday – 7:00 am to 5:00 pm
San Pedro Cargo: Monday, Wednesday and Friday – 7:00 am to 2:00 pm
Dangriga, Placencia, and Punta Gorda: Wednesday only – 8:00 am to 4:00 pm

Cargo Flights

Cargo flights will continue between Corozal, Belize City, Caye Caulker, San Pedro, Dangriga, Placencia, and Punta Gorda.
