Sunshine for Sharon

I can’t say it’s clear blue skies this morning, but after a few days of rain the sun is finally coming up amidst the clouds.

Paul and I are headed to a pot-licker party at Sharon’s house this afternoon to meet some new Canucks on the island. She’s great about stuff like that – making new comers feel welcome and helping them get to know other people.

It was a hard call as Tammy is having a barge party for her birthday, and we were also invited to that. Sharon said we could bow out of hers or do both. We decided to stick to our original plan – Sharon’s parties are always guaranteed to be filled with great people, food and fun.

Life happens and plans change; even though we have sun the road to Sharon’s place, it’s a bit mucky right now, and her BBQ is held off till next weekend. Tammy decided due to the weather that it’d be better to have her party at the tackle box instead of on the barge.

I ended up at the school this morning taking pictures of the trailer and playground that finally made it here; more on that this week. Will do a full post on both blogs. Right now it’s time to curl up in bed and read Richard Branson – Losing My Virginity. Sharon just called and said Chunky, Ruth and someone else just showed up at her place. Looks like not everyone got the memo her party was cancelled.

After all the changed plans, we decided to go to Pedro’s for have pizza and watch some beer pong.

Here are a few pics I snapped around town this morning.

Thanks Bonnie hope you are not too freezing in Calgary

Michele Greenhouse is still here but now on middle street in a bigger location – this just means we have another in town option to shop at for vegetables

Hey Tacogirl, I am a few days behind, but I wanted to say how much I enjoyed the video from sitting in front of the airport. It felt like a little visit to San Pedro. Especially welcome after all the snow and cold. We have a Chinook blowing in and hope to hit 16 degrees tomorrow in Calgary. Have a great day! Bonnie
