Royal Belize Beach Wedding

belise beach wedding

I swear Helda and Robbie’s was the most photographed wedding ever. The venue they chose, Coral Bay Villas was the perfect place to have a beach wedding and more than a few of us ended up barefoot.  As I was sifting through the pictures I had taken, it was nice to revisit the day and see everyone that came out to celebrate.

We did go to the after party at Roadkill unfortunately  neither of us made it very long, caught some funny reception pics on facebook. You can check out some of the night shots on Getting Married in Belize!  by  San Pedro Scoop as Rebecca managed to stay out longer than we did. My favorite runner up pic and taco cam video coming soon as I have a chance to edit it.

I decided to choose my 3 favorite pictures 3 pictures for our Wedding card to Helda and Robbie since we did not give them one the day of.

[accordion title=”Belize Poker Info“]

Hello from Pedro’s Poker Club,

This week will be a great week of poker at Pedro’s.  We’ll be welcoming back Jock from his three month diversion to Costa Rica, we’ll be enjoying a ton of tournament and cash action and once again it’s time for Ladies Night…

And before we get into it, there is an important programming note… The poker club will be closed on Monday so that our players can attend the big $500 buy-in charity event in Belize City.  It should be a great time and we encourage everyone to attend.

Tournaments

Sunday – We started at at 2pm with a $40bz satellite tournament.  Winners of this satellite stepped up to the 3pm tournament.  At 3pm, we spread a special $150 bz satellite tournament for Charity event in Belize City. We will be payed 1 seat plus airfare for every 5 satellite entries and we guaranteed at least one winner in each satellite. As a bonus, the structure was the same as our regular Sunday tournament so there was plenty of play.  As usual, we provided the snacks and drinks were available for purchase at the bar.

Phil took first place for the seat and airfare Parker took second for $400 in cash. The last satellite we ran last week was won by Allie and Parker who both won seats plus airfare.  The value of the seat plus airfare is $660.

Oh, and I almost forgot. In honor of Jock’s return, we  payed out a $100 bounty to Parker who knocked him out first.

Cash Games

Sunday, Tuesday and Wednesday – On Sunday, our cash game start immediately following the tournament and usually gets started around 5:30.  On Tuesday and Wednesday, cash games will be starting at 7pm.  We play 1/2us NL Hold’em and for cash games we buy the food and drinks.  We’re expecting big games this week with a lot of our regulars being back in town.

And on Thursday…  It’s the return of Ladies Night! For ladies night this week we’re spreading 1/2bz NL Hold’em starting at 7pm.  If you need to learn how to play or need a refresher, be sure to get there by 6:30 for Jason’s tutorial. We’re expecting a good turnout this week with some guests coming into town, so don’t miss it.  We will be buying the pizza and the rum drinks and beer.

Giveaways

We still have a 32” flat screen TV to give away to anyone who hits a straight flush in a cash game.  And if we don’t give it away before the end of the month, we’re giving away a Kindle Fire or Acer Iconia Tab (your choice) to the high hand.  Allie is currently ahead with Quad Tens with a King Kicker.

It will be a fun week to play poker and I hope to see you on the felt.

Best regards and better cards,
Jason @ Pedro’s

Love Taco Girl Blog @LaurieNorton! I've been reading this blog since I started visiting Ambergris Caye in Belize almost... 10 years ago. It is filled with helpful up-to-date information and recommendations that I wouldn't necessarily find on my own. Laurie Norton's knowledge and extensive network on the island provides her with the ability to share perks/discounts/coupons with her readers, which come in handy year after year. Things on the island change daily - new businesses pop up constantly and LaurieNortonstays on top of these developments. Whenever I plan my return trip to the island, I always check her blog first - and I recommend you do the same. Trip Advisor ain't got nuttin' on Taco Girl!read more

Laurie's blog is my official “go to” source for tourist and local information on San Pedro. Of course, it’s... always nice to see her guides on “what to do” in San Pedro, but I also appreciate her “insider” advice and human interest stories on what it’s like living as a local on the island. There is so much information it's amazing! Thank you Laurie!!!read more

I’m so pleased to see tacogirl's blog on Google. Laurie's blog is my official “go to” source for tourist and... local information on San Pedro. Of course, it’s always nice to see her guides on “what to do” in San Pedro, but I also appreciate her “insider” advice and human interest stories on what it’s like living as a local on the island. I especially enjoy her guest articles, providing a different perspective of all things San Pedro. Her tipping quide is a classic, and don’t forget her Tropic Air flight code and on-island discounts. You’re not up-to-date with what’s going on in San Pedro if you’re not regularly reading tacogirl's blog.read more

Do yourself a favor. Read this BEFORE any trip to San Pedro - Ambergris Caye or Belize in general. Not saying “do... what everyone else says”, but Laurie has frank and honest info which will make your stay in country a little more fun, a little more informative, and often at a great cost savings. Best thing: it’s unbiased, honest, and factual. Personal note: thank you for your personal tailored help in answering mine (and my wife’s) questions.read more
