Celebrating Independence Day in Belize

This past Wednesday September 21st marked a very important day in the history of Belize – it’s 30th Birthday. If you have not yet celebrated Independence day in San Pedro I would put that on your top ten Belize to do list – best parade ever.

Here are a few pictures from the annual San Pedro parade, we only caught the very beginning as tacoboy and I were among the 818 Passengers enjoying the Belize flight discounts with the  Tropic Air  $21 Independence Day special. As always the weather was perfect, although I am sure by the end people would not minded a light rain shower to cool them off. [last night we got 1.9 inches of rain, I would have guessed more. We had a huge thunderstorm in the middle of the night]

I did not manage to catch any of the Belize City Independence day celebrations but was able to take a short break from the freeroll poker tournament at Bob Bounahra’s Princes Poker room and snap some pictures of decorations around town.
