Went to breakfast at Estel’s with Dick and Carole this morning. Paul had to run an errand after so the 3 of us just booted around town for a bit then came home. We never did get the rain that was supposed to be coming our way – hope it does not show up tomorrow. Skeeters are still bad ugh – hope they go away soon.
Exciting news I recently got my Hot Card Belize discounts. They even personalized it by printing my tacogirl logo on it – how cool is that?
I went through the list and highlighted all the places I would use more frequently – green for San Pedro and blue for Caye Caulker. Was glad to see Ritchie’s – Suberbuy and Rum house all on there – all practical places to save money ha ha. I have yet to do any mainland spots but I am sure flight discount and car rental will come in handy as brat pack keeps saying we need to go on a road trip sometime soon.
I like the idea of a card cause it makes sense to keep it in your wallet – I never did well with the coupons they just stayed stuck to the fridge ha ha. Hot Card saves on paper and it is not just limited to one use like coupons are. You can also use it with a group as discount applies to the whole bill.
Cards can be purchased online or in San Pedro with a one or 2 year option. Online option makes sense for pre-booking flights – hotels – tours – etc. New advertisers are being added regularly – check online for updates and a printable pdf.
If you are a business and want to get hooked up with Hot Card just go to Gecko Graphics and see Marie or email her at… info[at]hotcardbelize[dot]com
This email just in from Miss Dianne… FYI Laurie Quicksilver is also selling Hot Cards. Just flag me down on the road or call 625-0669 and I will bring it to your hotel/apartment etc. Cost is $60USD for one year, $100USD for 2 year.
p.s. Jo an Heather we were to crazy with Blog Fiesta and Lobsterfest when you were here last – if you make it back in August we can definitly get some use from my card and hopefully make a trip to Caye Caulker as well.
