With Ambergris Caye being such a fun place it only stands to reason that this island has some of the best fundraisers. Below is information on 2 really fun events starting this weekend and May 27th, to put on your to do list.

The St. IV and V class at the Island Academy is having a GARAGE SALE on Saturday, May 12 from 9am-12noon on the lot next to Asian Garden Spa.

Benefiting – Mama Vilma’s Family Home and Liberty Children’s Home both excellent projects.

Needed – stuff to sell (spring cleaning anybody?) Donations can be dropped at Asian Garden Day Spa until May 11.

and people to come and buy ……!

ALL PROCEEDS of this sale go to both the Liberty Children’s Home and Mama Vilma’s Family Home.

Mama Vilma’s Family Home
The purpose of Mama Vilma’s Family Home is to provide disenfranchised families and children with temporary housing, food, medical care, counseling and education to foster their connection with the San Pedro community and assist with developing a strong family unit.

WHAT – Bar-B-Q, Silent Auction, Live Music, Hula-Hooping, fun for the whole family!
WHY – this event is to raise fund to support the ongoing activities of LIBERTY CHILDREN’S HOME – a refuge for abused, neglected and abandoned children from throughout Belize.
