Super exciting news – Zac has hooked up with an Organic Farming Operation in Belize that is recognized by the USDA/NOP as Certified Organic. Now we are able to get super fresh pesticide free veggies at a good price – this is huge.
Yesterday I got a good sized bag of organic mixed greens for $8 bzd and the date on the bag that they were packaged [and likely picked] was same day March 3, 2011 – does not get much fresher than that. I came home and proceeded to eat a huge bowl of salad while watching the new episode of Jersey Shore – total trash tv I know. Join Healthy Belize facebook fan page if you want to get in on the info loop for this sweet deal – everyone at aquafit was keen.
More exciting news tacoboy texted and he is on his way home right now with Wade the gringo burgers and fries from roadkill bar.

You are lucky Darryl. I feel like we just won the food lottery ha ha.
Hey Laurie, here in Austin we have Whole Foods, Central Market, and a bunch of small organic groceries so we sure have a lot more options than we did in Canada….and slightly better prices.
Darryl
The price is fantastic and so is quality. I remember how much more expensive organic was in Canada.
This is great news, Taco Girl. I am such an advocate of eating clean and organic and it’s so awesome to see that you’re able to get this in Belize at a good price. Love it.
Darryl
Thanks Laurie! Good to know…
I agree Incorporate Organic Farming hopefully more people will get in on that idea.

This is the best news I’ve heard in a long time! We’re not down there yet, but when we are, I hope it will still be possible to get in on this. We love organic greens!!!
Excellent. Love seeing anything organic, anywhere. It’s much better locally and globally!
