Flying tacos

It all started at our nuevo team meeting yesterday afternoon. Paul suggested we have it in the garden because it was one of those perfect hot sunny San Pedro days.  We were 3/4 when  when Cindy came home for lunch – not long after she came out and handed Paul a note. We all laughed when he passed it around for us to read – ‘ I know you are in a meeting but it’s the most perfect day to  skydive’ [smiley face].

Of course we all said meeting adjourned and started to wrap things up.  The boys made a few jokes and said it was nice knowing you – I said I was not ready to become a skydive widow. Cindy had gone back to work to make sure she was ok to go –  I texted her to see if I could get in on the plane ride and got a thumbs up.

We headed down to the Sunbreeze Hotel to check in and sign the wavers. Since We were the only ones going up it was a fast process and we headed across the road to board the plane. Paul was nervous but in good spirits – he new he was in good hands with the boogie in Belize crew.

I was excited for the plane ride  and ready to take some areal shots – we had a stunning view of the Ambergris Caye. It did not take long to reach 13,000 feet. Whitney went out of the plane first – followed by Paul and Kai then I think Hippy was next and last but not least Aidan and Cindy.  [please feel free to correct mes if I spelled any of your names wrong]

I was happily snapping away the whole time.  As soon as everyone was out of the plane George gave me my own personal thrill ride – he plunged into a super steep fast nose dive. What a super cool Tuesday afternoon.

Awesome pictures! Paul and Cindy – you guys are far more daring than me – can never understand why anyone would jump out of a perfectly good plane!

That is one of the things I love about living here Alan and everything is so close jump site only 10 min ride away. Too funny about RAF and bringing the bloody plane back. Glad you liked the pics. Hoping to get a new a new camera at the end of March so more airtime and pics in the future plans.

It must be great to be able to say, ” Sod it, let’s go skydiving, ” just on the spur of the moment!!! When I was in the RAF, they didn;t trust us with parachutes. You either brought the bloody plane back, or you needn’t bother to come back, ‘cos we couldn;t afford to pay for them!!
Magnificent pix, as per usual. I am still looking for that award for you.
