If you have have interest in San Pedro Belize rentals – this post is for you. Robert who owns a house on our street is renting the upstairs 2bedroom apartment. Location is lagoon side about 1.5 miles south – 2 streets past the sausage factory.
I am always interested to see what places are like inside so I decided to go have a look – the apartment is clean and cozy. I really liked custom wood spice rack – eating bar and futon couch that was made in Belize with local Belize wood. Bathtub and Boat canal in back yard both great features too – tubs are not as common here.
This apartment is a great example of what you can rent and what it will cost you – including basic bill pricing.
$600usd monthly with a washer and dryer $500usd without
Utilities extra – electricity runs about $150 bzd and water $22bzd – based on one person estimate
$22bzd Cable tv split – Direct tv – 108 channels
$ 60bzd Propane for gas stove per tank
To see the apartment please call Robert McBride – 626-1486
It is rented right now Ian, shoot me an email if you want and I can help you.
Is this 2 bedroom that Robert has still available, I am interested in finding something on the island

Hi Cal Ambergris Caye has 2 mls sites. There are 2 or 3 internet cafe’s here and many places like Estel’s offer free wifi for their patrons.
Is there a good real estate website? also are there internet cafes?
Hi Amy here is a good link to explain a bit of history on the districts the districts a bit http://ambergriscaye.com/25years/area.html
Hi Laurie thanks for the info. I have been wanting to ask this for quite some time…..how are the “districts” broken up. I know alot of times I am reading either a post you have or some other info and they talk about say the “San Mateo or DFC” area…….how are where are the districts broken down. Would love the clarification.
Thanks for all your hard work getting us the info you do get us.
ha ha we used to fill it much earlier than we wanted to use it and let the sun plus a few pots of hot water worth closer to the time help make it more enjoyable.
If you add internet cost that cheaper factor could all go out the window. $129 bzd was coral cable middle speed and we pay about $410 bzd for 1mb [they recently doubled everyone’s speed on BTL]
I am in the rental property business and I can tell you this is less expensive than here in Texas. Utilities way cheaper also, I pay $150 US a month for cable and internet. (broadband, very fast, $45 a month of that $150) minimum charge on water at least $50 (includes sewer and garbage collection)
This place looks pristine! Well taken care of.
EEEYOW! An outdoor tub in Canada with no hot water! I think I would be taking one bath a year on Aug. 1st. LOL. You Canadians are some tough hombres!
lol Mystery I am fond of backyard tubs. Back in Canada we had a nice claw foot one in our garden and often enjoyed a nice soak out there – unfortunately we did not have hot water hooked up to it.
WoW!! A bathtub AND a boat canal, right in the backyard!!!!!!!!! Awesome.
Sure thing Debra.
Not totally standard Renee – it is all relative to location and type pf place – condo vs house/apt. Not sure price on one bedroom apts these says we used to pay $450 usd for one bdrm when we first arrived and lived in town. Thanks for the compliment glad you enjoy my blog.
I do not know exact square footage Bob – somewhere between 750 – 900 range. Electricity would be higher with ac – how much depends how often you run it.
Wow Laurie great info! A couple of questions, do you happen to know approximately how many square feet it its and is that the utilities cost with A/C?
Thanks for the great information. Is $600 a month about standard for a two bedroom apartment and how much do one bedroom, one bath apartments usually run? Keep up the great work tacogirl; your blog is awesome!
Looks very nice. I wish we were ready to rent somethig in Belize. Thanks for posting so we can see prices.
