Yesterday was a perfect day for a pot luck party on the Seaduced Catamaran. We had lots to celebrate – end of Lobsterfest – Mitch’s birthday and One Caribbean Weather crew coming down to film us. Started out with breakfast for everyone at Changes in Latitudes then we all went and got out potluck stuff and headed to the boat. Luckily while at breakfast tq called from Lazy Croc and we got her to pick up 2 lbs of pulled pork to bring on the boat.
I got an email from Mike today and thought it was fitting to add in this Hol Chan post as it is about getting everyone to come out to the ACCSD [Ambergris Caye Citizens for Sustainable Development] meeting tomorrow night 5pm at Sunbreeze against offshore drilling. Presentations will be given by – Program for Belize – Healthy Reefs and Oceana.
Hello San Pedro Friends,
As I mentioned to many of you, I attended a really impressive event at the Radisson in Belize a couple of weeks ago about the various consequences related to offshore oil drilling. Usually I fall asleep at these things, but this one I was seriously on the edge of my seat the entire time. It was not only really educational, it was entertainment. I mean, at the end of the presentations, the crowd went nuts.
Especially if you are a business owner or work in tourism, which is pretty much everyone I know here, then you should definitely come and show your support. Everyone I talked to about the presentation regrets that they didn’t come with me to Belize City, so don’t miss this one!
Tuesday (tomorrow) 5pm at Sunbreeze. Presenters are from Program for Belize, Healthy Reefs, and Oceana.
Let me know if you have any questions. For more info please read the article on Ambergris Daily.
Cheers,
Mike
Snorkeling Hol Chan and Shark Ray Alley was great. I chose just to float and handed my underwater camera over to Forrest and tq who did a great job of snapping some fish pics. Rob had RLD’s camera and I am sure he got some good pics as well [feel free to email some for the blog when you are home and settled Rob] It was Rob’s first time snorkeling and he was duck diving like a pro.
So glad you all made it back for lobsterfest again. Birdie made a great boat captain.
Wow! Great pics from a fun day! Birdie had so much fun as Captain. Lobsterfest was a blast this year and we look forward to our next trip down to see you all!
Saw Bob in his lobster costume on tv very funny. Thanks for coming to visit see you next year and sounds like we will see Rob even sooner.
Thanks Joey – we were glad you made it to Ambergris Caye we are glad you made it and had such a good time.

oh man…….you just HAD to put in a pic of that world famous french toast from CIL, didn’t you?????
Happy Birthday Remo – glad you had a great time. Can relate to feeling like living dead right now.
It was a great day Cindy we need to do it more often. Floaty toys rock.
CT you would have has a blast with us this past week. Cozy corner a great way to feel better. Would hire you in a second to be my personal bbq chef and help on events planning.
Just a note to thank you, Taco Boy and all the wonderful people of Ambergris Caye for making our visit so wonderful. You have a magical island and you should all be proud. I look forward to our return next year and again thank you does not seem enough. You have all touched my heart and for that I thank you. To the sponsors who stepped up to bring us down, a very special thank to each of you.
Well folks we made it back, a little tired today but we had a wonderful time on your beautiful island. I sincerely want to thank all the wonderful people we met and our great sponsors for bringing us to Lobsterfest. A special hello and love to Taco Girl and Taco Boy for their great organization and their friendship. Look forward to coming back again next year. It was really great meeting and spending time with you all. Please keep watching (I need the job!!) Bob is still wearing his Lobster costume on the shows today….much love, Joey
Actually, it was my birthday on June 19th and I was on the island from the Friday evening celebrating my birthday. By Monday morning I looked like the living dead…haha!
At one moment, you were literally like a foot away snapping a pic of that weather guy and his entourage as they were getting ready to leave the Island.
Anyway, I had an awesome weekend but my body is paying the price now:(
cheers….
Congrats I have been reading your blog since I stumbled upon it as it keeps my San Pedro fix when I can’t make it down but this blog entry is a first. In one blog entry you hit all of my favorites;
Not only do I miss hanging in C&L’s courtyard I miss Shuffle’s hot buttered rum sauce (on anything I bet it makes a leather shoe taste good) Next are town shots of the golf carts and normal street activity but to also take a boat ride to Hol Chan with TQ, the Rob and Michelle and you guys too?
That really hurts you know………I may have to have Cozy Corner to make me feel better you know…
Good to see that you were able to close out Lobsterfest and it sounds like it was great, good job Tacos! Now find me a job as a events planner and part time BBQ chicken chef.
that was such a fun day – I love my floaty toys
Hi Remo pics will go up later today – if you made it in a pic you will have to point yourself out 🙂
When are you going to post the photographs you took at Tropic Monday morning between 8:30 and 9am? Just curious…..I might be in some of them:)
cheers…
