It is a quiet rainy day here in San Pedro. I am enjoying an iced coffee and slice of banana bread from the cookie lady.
We ran into her last night at Wet Willy’s and I was joking about where else could you go on a Friday night and enjoy a free buffet, listen to some friends play live music and buy a freshly made banana bread for tomorrow’s breakfast.
This morning was an early day, We were both up before 6 am. Around 8:30 or so, we rode our bikes to Nancy’s place on sunflower st, she was having a yard sale with a couple of friends. We arrived very mud spattered and just in time to catch Maya Colette and Diane.
While we were poking around and chatting, I could hear distant thunder and I knew it was going to rain again at some point. The question was to we try to beat the rain or wait it out. It did not take long for the downpour to start, so we all went under a cabana and took shelter from the rain. I bought a cheese slicer from Nancy and a blue duvet cover from Cathy. As soon as it let up a bit Paul said lets make a break for it so we packed up our stuff and headed for home.
Nancy owns Cozmo’s Adventure and rents out colorful Cabana’s that have queen beds, ac, tv, private bathrooms and their own kitchenettes. Her rates are very reasonable especially for low season.
Maya and Colette got out before the down pour
Lots of people were out shopping by the time we arrived
