Hope all of you had a Happy Commonwealth Day or May 24 (long weekend) as we refer to it in Canada.
I decided it was going to be a quiet day. Lots of relaxing and stretching, followed by date night with tacoboy before he left for Mexico this morning with Walter Pedro and 3 of the hotel guests. Our plan was to go visit Cowboy and Leisa for Double Trouble happy hour at the pool bar – a potentially dangerous thing 🙂
We made it up there around 5:30 and decided to share a shrimp quesadilla – yum. Stayed for a couple of drinks and then enjoyed a nice golf cart ride south on one of our favorite back roads. North Ambergris Caye road was super bumpy, puddles were not too bad.
After the big rain we got in the middle of the night they may be a bit bigger by now, we ended up with a small lake at the side of our house. It was starting to dry out from the morning sun, but looks like it may get filled again as the sky is getting really dark to the East.
Taking a break from snapping pictures so I pulled these 3 colorful San Pedro Shots that remind me of why I love living on a tropical island in Belize.
[divide style=”2″]Hello San Pedro Poker Friends,
Last week we had some great games at Pedro’s Poker Club. We brought back our Deep Stack tournament where local member Ti Southwell took home first place money of almost $800. In addition, visiting club member Bob Cox managed to top Jock’s high hand and set the new bar for May at Aces Full of Jacks. The player that ends the month with the highest hand wins a Kindle Fire tablet. A congratulations goes out to Bob and Ti for their poker successes last week.
Here’s whats happening this week at Pedro’s.
Cash Games
This week we’ll be playing 1/2us NL Hold’em cash games Wednesday and Friday, all at 7pm. The Bad Beat Jackpot is up to $6000 so you won’t want to miss a night. And as expected, we buy the food and drinks for cash players.
Tournaments
We’re skipping the tournament this week but are announcing that next Sunday, May 27th we will be holding a $160bz tournament at 5pm before our cash game. We are expecting several players in town that we haven’t seen in ages, so it should be a good turnout and a great tournament. If you are looking for a night to visit for a mini poker vacation, this might be the one.
I can’t wait to get the cards in the air and as always,
Best Regards and Better Cards,
Jason
Many puddles on S/P are as big as whale sharks:)
Great puddle pics you took Emily – An early rainy season by BeBelize Blog.
The puddles are definitely worse today after nearly 3″ of rain overnight, Laurie! You picked a good day to come up this way before it got even worse. Just blogged about the bad roads/rain today. 🙂
