Go Nature Belize

I am playing my own version of beat the clock this morning I had to go back and finish tagging pictures from our recent vacation, trying to make it in under the 2 h mark with 33 min left to go.  I was trying to be good and drink water this morning while I waited patiently for my coffee maker to wake up. Thankfully I have my first iced coffee in front of me now and I can really bust a move, to get the job done before we go to the pool.

It ended up taking almost 3 h, people do not always realize all the back end work that goes into blogging.  I know San Pedro Scoop, Be Belize, Carbunkle Trumpet and  Chunky Ruth all get it. Check out my new links page to find their blogs [except CR who has now retired from the Belize blog circuit.]

For all my past blogging about the pool and clean eating I cannot believe I had not been to Go Nature Health food store before now. I finally stopped in the other day and was pleasantly surprised. I was able to get something I had been missing since my other life in Canada, fancy health food store toothpaste. I scored some Now brand Xyliwhite Cinnafresh toothpaste Gel. I also discovered an interesting skincare line called Peace of Belize which I am going to try, I just wanted to double check what I have at home still and then decide where to start for Rachel’s line.

Go Nature Belize Shop Hours, Mon- Friday 10am to 5:30pm closed for lunch 1 to 2 pm
Sat 10am to 2pm, Sun closed, Closed Belize bank holidays.

Taz will do do special orders if products are available from her mainland supplier. Right now she has a bulk container of  Dr Bronner’s  peppermint soap and she is practicing recycling in Belize by filling peoples bottles and charging by volume. I highly recommend trying some.

Island Perk Coleen turned me onto this product back in 2008 and I have been using it ever since, it’s a great way to Go Green. Peppermint is a mild stimulant and it tingles your body and clears your mind.  It also smells yummy [foodie here] and works well to clean yourself and your house while protecting the environment and Belize Barrier Reef from harsh chemicals. I just mix some of the concentrated soap in a spray bottle and add water and keep separate ones for house cleaning and bathroom/shower soap.

Don’t forget to join Go Nature Belize facebook page for recipes, health tips, product details, store specials and more. You can also stop by the shop and check out the community bulletin board, there is lots of great info posted there.

    Hi
Can you please tell me if Go Nature is still open? We are in Caye Caulker for the next month and are on the hunt for protein powder. If this place is closed, do you know of any alternatives stores, either in San Pedro or even in Belize City?
    Thanks so much

How do you take your protein powder Emily [or anyone]? Rob from playa put the idea of going veg for a while in tacoboy’s head, so now I am considering a few options towards that idea. Would really love a juicer for carrots.

Oh, we love GoNature and have been customers since we arrived here in August! Taz orders protein powder and oat bran for us, and walnuts when she can get ’em. It’s great to have this store available and glad you’ve discovered it — I figured you were a long-time customer. Thanks for the shout out on our blog too!
