Life is starting to return back to normal – what ever normal is. John Henry is upstairs unpacking house and I am doing same here and making decent progress.
I called the gas company this morning and they said they were in the area and would come fill a tank for us in about 20 minutes – been an hour so far looks like they are on Belize time.
Teacher Lisa just popped her head in to get some boxes to pack up her classroom re-use recycle.
I think I just figured out we are on Brain coral street – will have to ask the person who gave me their address if they have moved since then to make sure.
Gas done – JH and Cindy have gas now too. Water supposedly on the way – we got sorted at the office and they said they would come by and turn it on today.
Basil Cindy’s cat just came tearing through our apartment and ran out the back door. Molly was by for a visit first thing this morning – it is nice our timeshare pets are much closer now.
Water company really on Belize time – we still have none. On the plus side we now have a big shiny white fridge.
Pedro’s Hotel is having a huge lobsterfest special From June 14-22
3 nights 150 USD – 5 nights 200 USD – 7 nights 230 USD
Will leave you with a few pics of our new backyard.
Thanks Beth – adventure is right lol. I hope we do not end moving for a while now.
Tacogirl your new digs are awesome!!! congrats on getting water too. I know what you’re going through and in the end what a fantastic adventure!
Thanks islagringo
That is a possibility really depends on the storm and what direction it is coming from. For Dean we stayed one street over and our main water issue was rain getting in the cracks of the wood door. See you soon.
Your new location DOES look awesome! I wonder if ocean surge during hurricanes is going to travel right up that canal though. It sure seems to me that Belize time and Mexico time may be the same! They are in their own timezone! Can’t wait to get there for the blog fest!
Thanks Michele we like it a lot – can’t wait to see you all.
Too funny KC – we got the floaty mats all ready and broken in.
Tara will drop you a line soon. Congrats for having the moxy to go for it. I have always thought this quote made a lot of sense regarding making big leaps in life… And the day came when the risk to remain tight in a bud was more painful than the risk it took to blossom.

Little do you know you are our my daily spiritual reminder that moving to San Pedro will be a great adventure. I live in Carolina Beach NC and will be coming to San Pedro in August. I know you are overwhelmed with moving and such at the moment; however, when you get a chance I would love for you to email me because I would love to have advice from someone with your experience of the local life. I’m coming with my husband and my 4 year old daughter….I could use all the help I can get 🙂 We are naturally apprehensive and excited at the same time but would be relieved to be in contact with someone who has been through the experience we are about to undertake.
Sincerely, 56 days and counting, Carolina Beach, NC
Wow! Your new place looks awesome. Can’t wait to see it!!
Taco Girl..good web site..
I have a request . I would like to remove pay pal from the school’s blog site and replace it with Click & pledge. Can you do that? Also I do not have your e mail ..
Carbunkle I will be laying on a floaty mat watching you fly overhead as you come in for a landing.
In 16 days I will be lounging at the new Muppet/Taco pool with a cold beverage in my hand! Oh and I will also have my dollar from TQ because we know she will miss the AM flight too!
