Casa Picasso hosted their annual smash hit party to kick off their reopening for high season. This year’s event was bigger and better than ever and it has definitely gained its place as one of the “must-do” parties. The restaurant is also looking better than ever as they did some major renovations during the slow season and totally opened up the place. Two hundred or so people came out to enjoy refreshing cocktails, delicious food, great ambiance, and fun people. Throughout the night, 2,200 mouth-watering appetizers were served by Picasso’s fabulous staff and, as I chatted with different people, our opinions were all the same “simply delicious” and “glad to be there.” I got looking on their Trip Advisor reviews page this morning and as I surfed through the 20 or so pages of reviews, all these adjectives started jumping out at me – outstanding, awesome, exotic, best, friendly, delightful, favorite, amazing, appetizing, wonderful, fantastic, lovely. Having dined there on several occasions for various reasons, I totally agree. Owners Jackie and Adam have gone above and beyond to match the experience to their name and turn food into art. The following Trip Advisor review titles are a testament to the quality and thought behind Casa Picasso Restaurant, their owners and the carefully selected staff: “Perfect from Reservation to Dessert” “A little gift from Foodie Heaven” “Amazing place for a private dinner party” “Cuisine unlike any other on Ambergris Caye” “Our favorite place in San Pedro – vegan friendly!” “Last night I dreamt of Casa Picasso” “Best Meal In Belize!” “Absolutely the best restaurant in Central America” “If you are in Belize and on Ambergris and miss this restaurant, you need to fly back!” Click here to see more on why Casa PIcasso Restaurant is rated #6 of 122 restaurants in San Pedro on Trip Advisor. I wasn’t planning on taking any pictures last night due to feeling very exhausted and overworked from gearing up to turn my first commercial idea into a reality tonight. However, after I got there, I knew I needed to snap at least a couple – sorry no food pictures though, the waiters were extremely busy and I did not want to slow them down. Check out last year’s review of their re-opening party. Even though it rained at that party, it did not keep the crowds away from Casa Picasso. Interestingly enough we had rain again this year, thankfully it was only a light mist at the end of the party.
