I just finished watching Sicko by Michael Moore I recommend it if you like that type of documentary style movie.
My favorite part of the movie is when Michael took 9-11 rescue workers and other people who were being denied proper medical care in the states by boat to Cuba who welcomed them with open arms and gave them proper testing and medical care to improve their quality of life. It is amazing how clear the movie showed how the insurance agencies and medical profession are mostly designed to make a buck and not so much be about helping people get healthy. So many people are denied proper medical help for the silliest reasons. They just do not make it easy for people to get the help they need.
“When we see a good idea from another country we grab it. If they build a better car we drive it. If they make a better wine we drink it. So if they have come up with a better way to treat the sick, to teach their kids, to take care of babies, to simply be good to each other then what’s our problem? Why can’t We do that? They live in a world of we not me. We’ll never fix anything till we get that one basic thing right and powerful forces hope that we never do and that we remain the only country in the western world without free universal health care.” Michael Moore
It is quite hot today 90 f or 32 c even our standing fan is not much relief. Perfect day to head down to the beach to enjoy Dennis Wolfe’s birthday celebration at B.C’s beach bar.
Much later….
We were a bit slow getting to B.C.’s and when we arrived Sunday Jam was in full gear and everyone was out to celebrate Dennis Wolfe’s birthday.
Ricoman we met Wharfrat today and snapped a few pictures with him, what a great guy (hope to meet you one day soon). Met Worldtraveler, also very nice, we made plans to hook up again tomorrow.
It is so cool meeting people in person who I have chatted to on the message board, thanks again to Marty for making that possible, I am really enjoying it.
It is 9:15 pm and I am trying to finish this blog, Ricoman will have something to enjoy Monday morning and I need to get a good nights sleep. Tai chi class in the morning and I want to feel more rested than I do right now so I will get there. All I can think of is how I want to be couch surfing right now or in bed, and then I keep finding just one more picture to add as I go through the days shots.

One last Happy Birthday to Dennis
Dear old friend
Sorry if my wording confused you. That was Dianne wishing a last wish of the night before we all packed up and went home. Dennis is well and playing music every day.
The party looked totally fun, but I have to ask a question. I ask because I dont know and I apologize, I’m not trying to be rude. In Dennis’ birthday picture on the last picture it says “One last Happy Birthday to Dennis” has Dennis passed?
Signed
A Very old friend
Wharfrat is back in ole San Antonio today. Notice what time ricoman made his comment, he reads you before he gets his coffee. I’ll show him some pics from last week whenever I get over to the lab. made some progress with my fence/wall project I think thanks to Nancy’s input.
Dennis’ party looks like it was a great time. Sure wish I could have been there.
That is the funniest thing i have ever seen. Can’t wait to meet you guys in SP some day.
Ricoman 🙂
