CE Optometry Conference in Belize

We are in the midst of having an Optometry Conference here on Ambergris Caye. Dr. Renae emailed me a bit more detail and I thought it would be interesting to mention.I went to the CE in Belize website link she sent to learn more and I liked what I saw…. Fulfill your need for quality continuing education with up to 16 hours of COPE approved lectures, and take the vacation you deserve.

What a great way to advance your skill set by combining it with a vacation on a tropical Island.  I have not managed to check this out in person yet,  today’s lecture looks interesting Current Trends in Contemporary Optometry – Roundtable. I would have popped in to blog it, however I am house bound for a while as I am running scans for tacoboy on his lap top. In case you wanted to know, the person in charge of it is Dr. Ed Paul and he’s from Wilmington, NC, San Pedro’s sister city, and you can likely find contact info on the website above..

Debra and Bill, of Taking Belize Blog shared their story about Bill getting his eyes checked in the wrote up on Medical Care in Belize and Hablo pequen ingles.

I decided to switch it up today, in between answering emails I watched Dan Savage on youtube.  He is very funny and super cute, tosh.O also makes the funny and cute list as well as bad boy. Anyone out there ever met Dan or watch Savage U? Here is one of the many clips I liked  Dan Savage answers – How do I get my bf to stop checking out other girls?

I was doing my best to stay on task and finish this post, that is of course until I found something worthy of side tracking me – going to My Morning Matters chat room to join Maureen Rhonda and a few others. Unfortunately Belize internet is bouncing me like a ping pong ball this morning so I could not manage to stay in the room.

Time to defer to plan B – olive oil and aloe spa time, hopefully I can find some good videos on tv while I polish my toes and let the o & a soak in.

Finally got internet back, hopefully long enough to finish this post. so I can go for a walk.

Laurie Norton grew up dyslexic and was very challenged by the school. She never dreamed she would move to Belize and become a writer. A year after her move to Ambergris Caye, Laurie became an entrepreneur and professional writer starting tacogirl blog in 2007. Since then she has helped many people plan their vacations or move.
