Went to the School with Mitch this morning to celebrate the donation of a new industrial stove with a ribbon cutting ceremony followed by a delicious lunch prepared by Chef Victor Nal of Sunset Grill.
Preparing and serving breakfast a fruit snack and lunch daily for 500 kids is no small feat – even the busiest restaurant in town does not serve that many daily let alone 5 days a week. Holy Cross School and kitchen staff headed by Miss Rosalia are very grateful for Chef Victor’s tips and training help in the kitchen.
Chef Victor is a frequent volunteer with the Feeding Program at the School and was recently selected Belize Chef of the year for 2009.
To find out more about how the stove made it from an idea in Belize to Texas and to it’s final resting spot on Ambergris Caye check out the Holy Cross Anglican School Blog.
That is great Bishop Larry looks like your prayers have been working well.
Glad to hear and see about the stove. I have been praying for Holy Cross school for several years and hopr to visit there again.
Great Bob, I am glad you enjoy my daily updates and pictures.
Will do. We come down a couple times a year and it is nice to get a daily update (with pictures!) of the island. Much appreciated, thanks!
