Our neighbor across the canal has not rocked it out in a while now and I find it pretty fitting that he chose the hour before Drummer Dan’s send off at Crazy Canucks to start again. As I sit here and listen to Led Zeppelin I am thinking that if it were not for Drummer Dan being missing, it will end up being one of the best Sunday Jam’s ever.
Dulce Wolfe is still collecting money and trying to raise $5000 – $7000 if you wish to help get the medical and funeral expenses covered. Just email me and I can put you in touch with her.
Here are some pics from the 2013 Eco Challenge Kayak Race. Due to the site beautification project taking place at the original starting area on the lagoon side, the race started at 6:00am at Central Park. From there the kayakers , speed boats, jet ski’s and land spectators heaed north to the Sir Barry Bowen Bridge to watch the boats cross under the bridge and make their way through the mangrove channels to the back side of the island.
I agree Eva will be strange not seeing him there and around the island. So many Dan memories flashing through my head the past few days.
I can not imagine going to Ambergis Caye and not finding Dan at Crazy Canuks, but I will have to. Thank you for letting me know how to contribute money for his expenses.
Saddly,
Eva Dittrich
It is sad news Tracey and a big loss for many.
Such sad, sad news about Drummer Dan. I only met him a few times, but really enjoyed talking with him. I know it must be such a loss for all of you.
