Municipal Airport gets Facelift

After recieving the information below – I spoke to Sarah Dalsin CFO at Tropic Air to lean more about what was up and coming at Municipal airport [TZA]. Sara told me that municipal airport is in process of getting a new facelift and a good grounds cleaning. Also in the plans – the runway will be safely and securely widened and lengthened which is no small feat considering it is on the Caribbean Sea.

Tropic Air would like to inform all customers that the Government of Belize and the Belize Airport Authority are requiring all Belizean Airlines to collect a five dollar rider fee on all tickets – which will go toward modifications at municipal airport and surrounding area.

Tropic Air apologizes for the late notice of this fee to our customers since we were only given the order today January 14th, 2011. All tickets sold to Tropic Air customers starting January 15th, 2011 will include this fee.
