Becoming tacogirl.com Timeline

I never dreamt that after moving to Belize, I would become a globally loved writer and owner of my own business tacogirl blog. It all started back in 2004 with my first visit to Belize. I fell in love the minute I walked off the plane. By the end of my 3-week vacation, I was sold and ready to move.

In 2006 I moved to San Pedro, Ambergris Caye from downtown Toronto and never looked back. January never felt so beautiful.

Flying in Belize is a lot of fun because you really get a sense of just how much undeveloped land we have. While I never managed a picture, one of my flying highlights was seeing Xunantunich Mayan Ruins in the distance.

Support my blog

As a travel blogger, I tend to do a lot of work helping people for free and I love doing so, however my internet still has to get paid.

Beyond working with travelers people have great holidays, and future expats, I am doing some great work to help strengthen our island and country.

I have teamed up with the Rotary Club of Ambergris Caye and Ambergris Hope Hospital to form Island Donors Squad,  a grass roots group dedicated to strengthening Blood Collection in Belize. Our primary goal is to help raise voluntary donors from 12% countrywide in 2023 to 25% in 2024.
