San Pedro Lobsterfest event is fast topping best Ambergris Caye Belize party list – this year was busier than ever The heavy rain shower did not deter people from having a good time and luckily it did not stop the music for too long either and Supa G was still able to play for a packed park.
I finished decorating Pedro’s booth just in time to catch the end of the kayak race. Hard to imagine kayaking from Belize City to San Pedro. At the end of the race there was a twist teams had to navigate through a series of flags then portage their kayaks to the finish-line. Congratulations to the winning team 2 guys from Punta Gourda. Both Paul and I noticed that more people came out earlier for the event this year. I got asked by several hungry people how soon food was starting while people were still decorating their booths.
Everyone did a great job decorating their booths – people were lined up to taste delicious lobster dishes. I had lobster pizza from Pedro’s – lobster sticks and stuffed jalapenos from Purple Parrot and finished off with a lobster hot dog from Elvis.
All the entertainment was great. Zac and Tanya played drums, San Pedro Dance company did a number in their sparkly green outfits, Zac came back to play with Gino, Lara spun fire and Supa G was a big hit [as always].
Shot out to Carin – Jack gave is a ride home at the end of the night and made Paul pull his finger.
