Today marks our 2and year anniversary of moving to Ambergris Caye. It is lot colder than the day we turned up – I remember how warm and sunny it was and I could not stop thinking how we had finally arrived to our tropical island paradise and made it out of the cold and snow.
So much has changed since then – got an apartment and settled in – volunteered at Holy Cross School – met so many people – started this blog – planned so many great parties – enjoyed countless hours of beach time – made a small mark on the environment by consuming less – still wish someone would start a recycling program here.
It has not always been easy we have gone through some difficult times as well – missed friends and family. We have learned how to manage in a world of cowboys and indians – where the rules of the game are not always the same for everyone – we are not in a first world country and we quickly learned to adapt – patience is a must and logic does not always win.
thanks all – will have residency soon
