We won again last night at Roadkill Bar Trivia – $160 bzd split 4 ways. Lots of people came out to play and we all had a great time. This week our team was was Paul Cindy Matt and I – we called ourselves the sneaky ninjas [also what Cindy nicknamed her cat]. I am definitely not team ringer but I come in handy for the obscure questions like what was the bankers name in Beverly Hillbillies? Answer – Mr. Drysdale [first name Milburn – had to Google to remember that]. The bonus round was a good one tonight we have to identify pictures of video and board games – right up my alley being somewhat of a game girl.
Tonight is Curry night at Pedro’s bar – will be Cindy’s last Friday night as she leaves for Europe on Monday. Guessing it starts around 6:30 or 7:00pm.
The picture below totally suits my mood right now.

That is great information Ariel. How are you finding the internet since BTL doubled everyone? We have noticed a bit better speed.
We use Skype all the time. I had heard that BTL was no longer going to block this form of communication, but alas, they still do. A virtual private network (VPN) is required (just type in VPN in your search engine and find the best one for you). Some are free, some have a nominal fee. We’ve having no major problems with our free one except that it seems to “disconnect” from the rest of the internet while on Skype. With the small amount of bandwidth here in San Pedro, you don’t really want to have anything else open anyway. O yeah, sometimes the video mode slows it down too, but it works great for voice. 🙂
Hi Bob there are supposedly some fixes out there – not tried to use skype in years though so hopefully someone can help you better than I can.
This is a bit off topic but since we are coming back in a couple of weeks I was wondering if someone could give me the quick and dirty about using Skype.I have used it in San Pedro and sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn’t. Seems I read somewhere if you install a type of network it can be used in Belize. I used it constantly in Roatan last summer. It was nearly free and crystal clear.
Can’t wait to get back to San Pedro! Roatan was nice in its own way but it really doesn’t hold a candle to San Pedro.
Funny Beth.
Come and listen to a story about a man named Jed. He’s an old country man, barely kept his family fed. Then, one day he was shooting at some food and up through the ground came a bubbling crude….OIL that is….black gold… Texas tea…
Well, the next thing you know, Old Jed’s a millionaire. Kin folk said, Jed, get away from here. Said California is the place to be so they loaded up the truck and moved to Beverly…Hills that is….The Beverly Hillbillies. Jed, Granny, Jethro and Ellie Mae.
LOL!!! Miss the island!!
