  1. Evening Ashley.

No real changes to getting around Ambergris Caye. Where are you staying? Bikes are a great idea for teens, cart good for family time and touring the island. Water taxi is fin but I would not want it for sole transport option. Worth a trip for fun though, you could do a Coastal Xpress for lunch somewhere or San Pedro Belize express and Ocean Ferry both go to neighboring Island of Caye Caulker which is a great day trip. As for discounts just shoot me an email to tacogirlbelize[at]gmail.com, I can do flights, tours, accommodations, food and shopping.

  2. Thanks for your site! Nice job…
We are arriving Aug7 and staying until the 12th. Any activities to look out for? Any changes on the “getting around” topic? We are a family of 5 with three teenagers and I’m trying to figure out the best way to allow them independence (bikes?) vs convenience (water taxi passes?) vs comfort (golf cart?).
Oh, and deals will be appreciated also. Thanks!

  3. Most people prefer hopping on a Tropic Air flight for the convenience and the view Stacey. Golf Cart Cabs are easily available at tha Caye Caulker Airport and if there is not one waiting they have a list of cabs to call. The other main option used is a $25 cab ride to the water taxi then take the boat.

  4. glad to have found your blog, making our first trip to Belize June 1st.
Suggestions on best way to get from airport to Caye Caulker?
    Thanks

  5. Glad my site is a huge help to planning your group trip to Belize Kevin. Sending you an email to get more of an idea on what your group is interested in to help give you must do recommends. For now check out Sightseeing in San Pedro (http://tacogirl.com/sightseeing-in-belize/) for a few popular ideas.

  6. Site is a huge help! Heading down to San Pedro with 18 friends January 11-17th. We’re putting together an itinerary now and already have a catamaran trip on the schedule… Any other “must-do’s” for a big group? Thanks!

  7. The big annual Independence day parade on the 21st and party in park after is a must do Lindsay.

  8. Hope you all are ok after Earl!! We will be in AC for Independence Day! Where do you suggest we go or do? (This is our first trip to Belize)

  9. Emailed Scott. Dia De San Pedro fair still on in old football field in town. A few regular local things – Tues and Thurs good music at Palapa Bar, Fidos live music nightly, Sunday Jam and Crab races at Crazy Canucks.

  10. I am travelling to san pedro on july 4 for 8 days if you know of anything to do during this time frame please send me an e-mail and if you have any discount coupon it would be appreciated.

  11. The only thing that stays the same is change – wish The Squirrels Nest hadn’t been enlarged and turned into a marshmallow, wish Pete was still there so my sister could borrow his pants, wish the boys from Journey’s End still visited Crazy Canucks to dance with the tourist ladies but as my dear old aunt used to say ‘If wishes were horses beggars would ride”. Those were the days my friends we hoped they’d never end, but we knew they would. Started visiting San Pedro in 1984. Only guide we ever had was Tulu. Tulu – only the best. Now we visit him in Placencia.
