Preparation Mode

There is always lots to do before company comes. Cleaning – laundry – groceries blowing up the new toys for the pool. Heather arrives today on the 12:40 Tropic Air and hurricane Jo gets in tomorrow same time. They have both been so excited all week – lots of chatting on the coconut phone.

Heavy rain woke me up this morning at 5:40 am. It was much shorter than yesterdays showers at the pool but long enough to get the puddles started. Good thing it was out of the way early so Heather gets hot and sunny when she arrives.

Now that it is rainy season weather in Belize – anyone have a good recommend on waterproof dry bags and which brand is best? Been checking some out on eBay [along with camera batteries and memory cards] not sure which ones are better though.

I was just about to head out and walk to Tropic Air to meet Heather when the phone rang – it was her saying that they put her on an 11:00am flight and she was already here – yay. She said it is the fastest she has even been through customs and made connecting flight to the island. Lots of plane action today June is a busy month for people coming to the island.

Almost forgot congrats to Carbunkle Trumpet for getting retweeted by Anthony Bourdain – score.

I usually check the San Pedro weather page, prior to opening your daily blog and I am finding something very unusual about Amb. Caye……Your sun rises first, followed by your moon some 4 hours later and sunset is around 6:30 pm followed by the moon at 9:45 pm!!!!!!
    How extraordinary.!!!!!

Al we do offer poolside drink service – as for no room to swim the wind usually takes everything to the north west corner of the pool leaving lots of room. Occasionally you will find yourself with giant marble beach ball rolling right at you though. What I miss most from Tim Hortons is their white hot chocolate.

You totally need to get your lanky asses to Belize ct and come hang at the pool. HAve you ever seen a blow up Elvis? I looked online but could not find one.

I see two problems here: there is no room to swim and you do not have a poolside bar. I will not fly down there with your bagels and tim-bits without incentive 🙂

Now if we can get his lanky arse to either Belize or at least to Crime-Free Memphis to do a show! Love the blow ups btw!

    Hi Laurie,
there is a padded camera bag with 2 side pouches, rechargeable batteries and maybe a 4 Gig chip in the camera, which is on it’s way to you.
