San Pedro Belize

He Said She Said

I am not referring to anything specific when I write this …. If you have ever lived in a small town you know how gossip can be – remember the game telephone? Over our 4.5 years living here, we have heard a lot of things from a lot of people and it is important to keep in mind always take things with a grain of salt [often a pound is needed]. I will give a personal example – I told someone something in conversation with a 3rd party there to hear it. Quite sometime later the subject came up in conversation again and the person told me what I had said in regards to what we were currently talking about. I replied back that is not what I said at all and the 3prd party happened to there to verify it. The person then agreed that what they heard me say and what I said were 2 different things. To me, that just goes to show how easy mistakes can be made and it is important not to believe everything you hear word for word.

Spent the last 4 h working on an upcoming cost grocery comparison post and was very pleased to discover that SPOG Belize [San Pedro Online Grocery] now offers fresh fruits – fresh herbs & Spices – fresh vegetables. We have said for a while now we should try SPOG and the more I surf their site to fill in my list the more convinced I am that front door grocery delivery is a good idea.

Here are a few links to past posts on the Cost of living in Belize which is a big list of grocery prices in San Pedro and Cost of Living comparison between buying groceries in – San Pedro  – Arizona and California and some random grocery prices in San Pedro. For those of you who like this kind of stuff check the Useful Information category – posts there often contain information about the cost of living in Belize.

I heard through the grapevine that a couple years back that CBT smuggled panties into the country for RumpShaker. That kind of gossip is not good ya know!

I think they have Gwen you can even pay via Belize or Atlantic bank now think through online banking. I have had that experience with various things from stores before. Someone [Jo Belize I think] told me she puts all items that are prone to weevils in the freezer for a while right after she gets home then repackage in plastic containers.

I tried SPOG when they first set up. We had several attempts. The concept is great! There were too many steps, and I bet they have cut down on them. My ideal is to type in my preferences/order, pay by bank card, and have top quality stuff show up at my door at a convenient time. When this happens I will be there, but I will never forget the pasta filled with bugs that was my last straw!
