First Annual Furry Animal Ball

Booths are going fast for lobsterfest so if you are planning to get one get into Seaduced before Tuesday and make it happen. There were 7 of twelve already taken as of Tuesday. There are still more daytime spots for local artists and tables for people who want to sell breakfast and lunch type stuff for the daytime Belize Arts and Culture part of the block party. We are also looking for volunteers the night of the block party to float around and help out if you are interested please let me know or stop by and see Rebecca Arceo at Seaduced.

Was up far to early this morning and while it is good in some ways as if gives me more time to work before going to the pool and our One Caribbean Weather / lobsterfest meeting – I really just wanted to stay in bed and get a proper sleep so I would not have that still trying to wake up feeling 2 hours later.

Might be back with more later.

Was smoking hot today luckily we had Cindy’s cart instead of being on our bikes. After our meeting and before finishing up our running around town we decided to stop for some McLimes yummy burgers – always a good spot to catch up with people. Got a chance to quickly pop in that new A&R store looked like their prices were good but it was so loud and crowded for opening day I did not stay long. By the time we got home I felt a bit dehydrated and needed a rest eating some watermelon helped.

A few posts back I had given you a teaser about an upcoming event and said details were to come – well here they are…

The First Annual Furry Animal Ball (FAB)

An Evening of Fine Dining and Entertainment

On Saturday the 26th of June, something very FABulous will be happening in San Pedro. The First Annual Furry Animal Ball (FAB) will be the party to be seen at in 2010. FAB will be an amazing event to help a wonderful organization – Friends of the Humane Society. This will be an evening for every animal lover to remember.

Upon your arrival to El Divino restaurant at Banana Beach Resort, your valet will park your golf cart and you will enter in true red carpet style. You will receive a free cocktail, sponsored by Traveller’s Liquors and then be escorted to have a personal portrait taken by Conch Creative. You will then enjoy a mouth watering three course steak dinner. As if that isn’t enough – belly dancers will entertain diners followed by a thrilling fire dancing display on the beach.

DJ Debbie will be mixing the disks to ensure that everyone has a great time and we are anticipating the arrival of a very special guest to be announced closer to the date. A silent auction and other exciting events will be happening throughout the evening to make this the must do event of the year.

Formal attire is required and all men must be wearing ties. Ties can be rented at the door on the evening. Dress to absolutely impress as there will be a grand prize for the best dressed guest. There are limited tickets available and because of the buzz in San Pedro, tickets are already selling fast. So, it is recommended that you don’t think about it too long – just buy your ticket so that you can be part of something truly FABulous.

Check dive shops for vests or weight belts you might be able to rent them. Has not been cold at night lately. You could always pack one thing just in case you want something if you are planning to be in air-conditioning. Some people return tax is included in airfare so check your tickets. Otherwise here is a departure tax total and break down in USD – Passenger Service Fee:$15.00 – Airport Development Fee: $18.00 – Hold Bags: $1.25 – Security Fee $1.25 – Conservation Fee: $3.75 – Total Belize Departure Fees: $39.25 USD
