Do Over

Ever have one of those days where you just need to go back to bed and start again? I am having one 2 days in a row.

Flash back to yesterday….

Our net is  still down, left at 6:30 am to go catch up on work at El Divino and could not connect there either. I did manage to take care of a few things and get them on a flash drive so tacoboy could email them from work for me. Since my tech troubles started yesterday, I was smart enough to do an email draft of one thing I needed to send so that makes it easier for Paul as he only has to add attachment and hit send.

I am officially on me time, hoping I find some good music videos on tv while I do a good stretch and doing a scan while I wait for net to come around.

Afterward  I got doing some offline work, put on Van Halen and my fav black cocktail dress  to shake my tech induced bad mood.

Back to this morning, I had just finished editing and adding pictures this post, hit publish and it all disappeared. I do not have time for this, supposed to be heading north right now instead I am having to redo everything I just did – sigh.

I went through my blog file this am and it is getting to overstuffed, since Heather and crew arrived in San Pedro yesterday to do the clean water education summer camp that now would be a good time to post her update. This morning Belize Community Conservation group is doing Bacterial water testing in San Mateo, I am going to meet up and take a few pictures of the process then continue north.

Hi tacogirl,
I was happy to hear that the beautiful Ambergris Caye island didn’t suffer much damage during the recent storm.  I am sure that was a reminded about the importance of the Belize Red Cross branch all of you are working tirelessly to get up and running on the island!

I too, have been very busy!  As you are aware, I left my previous organization so I could better position myself to continue my goal of helping the community of San Mateo with their water and sanitation. We are still working hard on helping them find solutions that are best for them as we listen to their responses and input.  We are so grateful to Kim Shackleford and the Mississippi University Students who braved the unrelenting heat in San Mateo to help us get some much
needed answers to our survey!

Now we are preparing to begin our Sustain San Mateo Clean Water Project as Belize Community Conservation.  From August 23rd thru 29th we will be bringing environmental scientist and executive director of Caribbean S.E A. (Student Education Alliance) Mary Beth Sutton to facilitate a clean water and environmental eduction program for the community of San Mateo.  We are thrilled to be partnering with such an amazing organization and we are so grateful for the time and donations
local organization A.C.E.S, and local businesses Ecologic Diver, Exotic Caye and Xanadu offering to help further the education
opportunities as well as Changes in Latitudes and the Tides for accommodations.

The list is long for all the people and businesses that contributed to make this possible!  I am afraid to list them all in case I miss
mentioning someone but I am so grateful for everyone’s contribution to make this possible!  There are so many behind-the-scene people that, without them, this would not have been possible.

So much more is going on but until more details are worked out, you’ll have to wait and see what we do next!

Thanks to you and all your readers for all your support over course of
this project!
See you soon!

That is a HUGE coconut biggest I’ve ever seen make a great bird house. I like the green ones you can cut a large hole In the top and add Ice and rum It mixes with the water and makes a great drink.

And Thank you to Tracy Sowder who worked 3 straight weeks in San Mateo installing the first trial wastewater garden!
