Making the Best of a Bad Situation

Over the past few days I found myself learning lesson, making the best of a bad situation on a large scale. Not only were tech lessons part of the package I am also getting hit on the physical side. I have been experiencing circulation issues and feeling in need of a major body tune up.

My tech issue is that all my categories got deleted. While it has been on my list to continue sorting them, starting from scratch in the year 2007 is not quite what I had in mind. I decided the best course of action was to not get bent out of shape over it. I could have had a big hissy fit on this one but I knew that keeping my center would help fix things faster.

A few days off to process what just happened and the task before me did wonders – 1553 posts is a lot to sort. Slowly getting a groove going and worked out doing small chunks at a time  is the best way to go right now. I have been enjoying my trip in the way back machine and reviewing my early work. It is a good reminder of how far I have come, and brings back some funny memories like the exorcism at Pedro’s.

Blog tech tip – If you hit tech troubles when working in your dashboard, stop for a few minutes to clear your head so you are clearly focused and can proceed with caution.

Quite possible I will be back later – it is pool time now. I consulted Zac about my circulation issues and he advised me what areas to work on to work it out of my body.

Thanks all – your comments make me feel better. So did a good long break. Have been doing everything from rum and cranberry to massage exercise and enjoying the rainy weather by sleeping in. CT false sciatica was Zac’s thought and I do believe he is on the right track with that one.

Exactly what kind of circulation issues are you having there Taco Girl, have you seen a doctor about this? As far as getting mad or frustrated, I share your pain and I also have found that taking a break is the best thing to do (or see how many skips you can get with your laptop on the lagoon).
    Happy October!

I know what it feels like! I lost my ENTIRE Picture Belize blog for several hours last week. It went completely off grid and every possible search and link I could think of failed to find it – it simply did not exist? Mentally I was on the verge of giving up the blog effort when it just as mysteriously it reappeared. I don’t know what happened – the internet is just a collection of good and bad magic?

Oh, I feel your “tech” pain, Laurie! In times like those, you must tell yourself “everything happens for a reason.” The universe sometimes has a way of ending your procrastination whether you’re ready or not.

Good luck on finishing, and I hope you start feeling better soon!!
