Happy New Year and Happy Anniversary
Wishing you all a safe – happy and adventure filled New Year. We spent a quiet night at home New Years eve – a few people dropped by to say hi on their way to other places. We counted down 1 h early [NYC on tv] with Dick and Carole and by the time midnight rolled around here we were done.
I have really enjoyed the last 3 days off and tried to be on my computer as little as possible and used my downtime to just relax and enjoy being in our new place.
Did anyone make any good New Years resolutions? Mine came yesterday I decided to start the new year with a clean email slate and I worked out that the easiest way to do that was to make a few 2010 folders in my emails and do a mass dump [2743 in total] of all 2010 emails so that my inboxes are empty for 2011 – that way I can sort and delete at my leisure. My other resolution is to eat a bit healthier – doing this through the addition of homemade fruit smoothies.
I have already had something exciting happen in 2011 – finding out that Travel Site Critic has a review of tacogirl blog with a voting option on their travel reviews website – if you enjoy reading tacogirl please consider voting.
More exciting news Ambergris Caye made the Top 10 beaches in Central America on msnbc.com and today marks our 5 year anniversary of moving to Ambergris Caye.
I have not taken my first picture of 2011 so I am leaving you with a few beach images of North Ambergris Caye from when I went with Dick on an adventure tour and drove about 13 or so miles north to Tranquility Bay Resort. Looking at these pictures makes me wish I was there right now.

Happy New Year Bob – pics are all on front side and past the 6 – 7 mile north range. I never did have much luck with those 3D pictures.
LOL! Your first picture above had me really scratching my head for a while until I realized the line across it was the top of the cart windshield. Kind of like those pictures you stare at until they pop another image 3D. I thought at first the line was the horizon. Anyway, Happy New Year. Beautiful pictures, are these on the front or the bayside of the island?
