Belize Film Festival and The Exquisite Corpse Project

Last night I went to go see the Exquisite Corpse Project which was playing at the Paradise Theater for the Belize Film Festival. It does not come as a surprise that the film has one the following awards: Audience Choice Award – Dances With Films (2012), Best Documentary – LA New Wave Film Festival (2012), and Best Director – LA New Wave Film Festival (2012).

I was riveted to the movie from start to finish which says a lot, having ADD tendencies sitting through a full length movie without getting restless  is often a challenge for me. I would also say it is definitely worth watching again, which I am sure I will do with tacoboy at some point. He was feeling over socialized and needed to quietly chill out with aircon and remote control.

You can check out the official Exquisite Corpse Project full movie here.

In this first-of-its-kind crossover comedy, director Ben Popik brings together five comedy writers, and surprises them with a challenge: to each write fifteen pages of a movie, having read only the previous five pages of the script. They agree with one stipulation: if they write the movie, he has to make it.

It’s a comedy, a love story, a psycho-sexual thriller, and a supernatural adventure all in one. Meanwhile, documentary footage of the writing process provides an inside look into the often-hilarious creative process, as well as the group dynamics that make collaboration between friends difficult.

Thanks Emily. It was great and the movie very funny. After party was fun but I felt the lateness of it this morning and did not make it out of bed till 7:30am as a result.

You looked really nice in your pretty dress last night! The film really was great, wasn’t it? I laughed and laughed. I am sure I will watch it again too. Glad the after party was fun! It was too late for us so good to see some photos.
