Gas prices in Belize increase and exciting news

As I mentioned in my Gas Prices in Belize write up, everyone  likes to know the price of things. A recent email from Trey prompted me to blog follow up on increased price. Gas is now 12.17 bzd and Diesel 11.26 bzd.  Tim said "gas went up a whole bunch more. $80 to fill RZR now". Sharon - Wealth Ships Expat Relocation services  and Michele - Life's a Beach Observations on Life and Real Estate in Playa Del Ca ...

tacos went AWOL

It is time to let the cat out of the bag....  I really wasn't  editing pictures for the last 2 days as I said in Mondays Gas prices in Belize post. Instead I kidnapped tacoboy Sunday afternoon and went AWOL 2.5 miles north to Cocotal Inn and Cabanas. After all the recent Belize Red Cross excitement, I figured we hard earned a break away in a Garden Cabana on the beach. I was all set to be a bikini girl for ...

Rain report by Cowboy Doug

The rain was coming down hard around 7:00am and stopped pretty much as soon as tacoboy got up to close the windows it was hitting.  Cowboy Doug of Cowboy's Pool Bar & Grill  at Grand Caribe Resort sent me his North Ambergris Caye range gauge report. Between 4:00 and 7:00am Sunday Morning rainfall was1 inch and 7/10ths,  and it rained and blew enough to sink a small boat up north. Yesterday mornings spla ...

I got Grounded

Yesterday was almost perfect weather to go hang out at Grand Caribe for their Sunday pool side party at Cowboy Doug's pool bar and grill. I say almost as there was a bit of a breeze happening and technically it is winter here so the water was a bit cool. While Paul watched football on the big screen tv, Dennis & I went polar bear and made new friends. It was not long before  Seleni and Madison came alon ...

Rumbling thunder and Island showers

Mother nature is definitely starting us off in 2012 with island showers and a clean Ambergris Caye. It has not stopped raining long enough for me to make a break for it and head to town to do my errands. The ominous sound of rumbling thunder is making me think I am either going to have to forget it for today or suck it up, waterproof and go anyways. I leaning towards the first option, can just imagine how b ...

New San Pedro Map & Guide

I was very excited to see the new San Pedro Map guide the other day, I like the image Paul chose. I remember  walking through town  shooting pictures specifically for the new cover shot - wide setting, portrait format. It was a  warm sunny  San Pedro day and as usual there was no shortage of things to photograph. I will have to check back in stock photos to see if I got a good shot of front street pre clock ...

What Happened in Vegas made it to Belize

Sorry no strip club pics or San Pedro crew behaving badly at WSOP 2011.  tacoboy did get some nice shots of everyone enjoying the exclusive Bob Bounahra party at the Bellagio Hotel where the appetizers were tasty, champagne was flowing freely causing a few people to wake up in slow mo the next morning'.
