First things first though I am sweeping up a small sized sandbox out of our place and then it’s down on my knees to wash the floors. Will have to throw in another load of towels too – so thankful for Jeff buying Cindy a washer and Cindy letting us use it anytime (within reason lol) Once I have some kind of order restored then I will get to uploading pictures.

Breakfast at Changes in Latitudes was delicious as always – french and hot buttered rum syrup. They raised  $115 in donations for Holy Cross School.

In addition to that the Direct Abundance girls handed over $250 from the selling green beads at lobsterfest block party. They picked up a donation of 7 build a bears that made it to the Sunbreeze Hotel thanks to Mary Mooney who donated them and sent to TQ who got them to Jennifer to bring to us. Thanks also goes out to KC Jayhawks for their donation of a a digital camera and the Kinnon family for 6 big bottles of gummy bear vitamins.

We have been so busy today starting out with the school and taking pictures of everything the girls brought. While there Direct Abundance decided to sponsor a child for High school and they came up with a very exciting plan. Many kids in Canada are required to do 40 h of community service work to graduate high school so the girls will approach schools to have the kids sell chocolate bars to help send a Holy Cross student to High school on a scholarship.

All the kids had to write out why they felt deserving of a scholarship and what area they wanted to study. There were 4 kids left to choose from all had great letters but they chose Damaris who is 14 years old and wants to be a music producer. In her own words… I chose this career because I really love music. Music is my passion I could hear music every day and I don’t get bored. I really have to follow my dreams and not give up.

Very flitting they chose her as we have been driving around San Pedro listening to my shuffle speaker combo and the girls have been signing along to their favorite songs.

Blog Fiesta kick off party for San Pedro Lobsterfest 2009 was a big success – we packed the house and everyone had a great time. I scored some great shorts and a top at the stuff swap and the all you can eat lobster pizza was even better than it was on wed night.

Coconut bruit is a must have item for those who like coconut and sweets would be a great topping for ice cream baking or cereal.

Net was down for us all morning so we did our town errands. Latitudes had power out while Marie at Gecko said they just experienced a dimming slightly but never lost power. Got to try out Cindy’s new washing machine – she gave us  cart blanche for using it and we said they could use our folding laundry racks if they ever needed them.

Scored a ride through town with the Jayhawks and Scotty – stopped in at Pedro’s on our way home and stopped in for the All you can Eat lobster pizza yum.  Fat Cats were rockin the house and had people up and dancing.

We got there in good time and Lara asked me to do some reiki on her shoulder to help shift the energy block and loosen it up before the show. That went well – not long after Paul turned up and we all headed off to Palm House for the wedding.

The bride and groom Dani and Leon Anderson were a lovely couple and had many great friends and family sharing their moment. The fire show was a big hit and everyone enjoyed the surprise. Afterward the wedding party headed off to Fido’s.
