The Royal British Legion Belize

Since taking over the poppy appeal,  Jamila Janmohamed has done a wonderful job of getting San Pedro to support both the British Legion Belize and Commonwealth veterans.

Aside from the traditional fundraising through poppies, she cooks a fantastic Indian meal annually to raise funds. Jamila has an impeccable reputation for her cooking and it is no surprise that the 2014 dinner was bigger and better than ever. This year’s event was spilling out onto the street and both the early and late seatings were full.

The Poppy Appeal is a very worthy cause helping support the current and past British Armed Forces and their families. Please remember to pick one up around town over the next few weeks. Pedro’s and Caribbean Villas will soon have poppy donation containers available.
