Laughter is the best medecine

JD reminded me that laughter is the best medicine at our pool therapy session today, he had us all in stitches. LouAnne brought in some tasters of her homemade raisin bran bread to share and a copy of the recipe definitely worth trying to make. After class I came home and floated in our pool for hours, really enjoying the shade option from our new tarp.

Later on, Paul and I decided to go to town to do some shopping and go for a bite to eat before heading to the beauty pageant. We had some not-so-good luck trying to find a new bikini for my party at Grand Caribe Resort next weekend, some days I miss Old Navy. All the suits saw or I tried on were to loud print or ill-fitting, joys of island shopping.

Food seemed like a much better bet so we headed to Wild Mango’s, not been there in ages. They scored big points for speedy service, our pulled pork taquitos, and coco loco shrimp were at our table in less than 15 minutes.  The food was delicious and Mango’s make a good Arnold Palmer too, one of my fav drinks.

After dinner, we walked over to the Miss San Pedro 2011 pageant at Saca Chispas [the old football field]  to cheer Christine Syme on. There were 5 contestants and a huge crowd of people cheering them on. We all had a fun time, Christine won Miss Congeniality and was runner up. Yarkarelis Hernandez won the title of Miss San Pedro 2011 – 2012 and Miss Photogenic.
