Island Academy annual Christmas Pageant

This morning while I was getting the pictures from Drop Box that my junior blogger Nina had successfully sent in, I kept getting google+ emails for a cool kite-surfing video that Richard Branson had posted. After the original one came and I watched it  in I got 5 more and decided if one more came in while I was retrieving and sorting Island Academy pictures I would include the kite surfing video too. Although it was taken in Maui it made me happy to think that it is mid December and the weather is perfect for outdoor beach activities like kite surfing Hobie cats and jet ski’s.

Island Academy Christmas Pageant, opened it’s doors at 7oo:pm so people could relax and mingle with  friends and a cocktail after work, before the show started . This year instead of a pitch in,  the decided to sell food tickets from 3:00pm – 5:00 pm at the Island Academy office. Tickets were $20 per adult and $10 per child and raised funds for the school.

You can guarantee that any Island Academy event [we frequent the annual pirate party] is always a great time. Watching the kids light up at the Holiday Christmas Pageant is a nice way to get into the spirit  holiday season.

Here is what Nina had to say about about the Island Academuy Christmas pageant:

The Island Academy Christmas Program was absolutely beautiful! The kids did great and were
very enthusiastic.  It was just starting when we arrived. the place was packed with people and cameras were going off everywhere. The Academy had a tent up with bright Christmas lights. Off to the side of the tent was an open bar. All the kids were in quite a frenzy. Infant 1 and 2 began the program singing traditional songs such as, All I Want for Christmas Is My Two Front Teeth and Away in a Manger. They sang just beautifully. The rest of the school did a musical on the TRUE meaning of Christmas. The kids remembered all their lines and recited them perfectly. You could tell that the kids enjoyed this, as they smiled and waved at the audience. At the end, all the teachers and students got up
and started singing Feliz Navidad. It was a perfect ending to a perfect night.
