Central American Travel

Many people opt to visit more than one country while on vacation. Tropic Air has expanded its routes and now includes four other Central American cities, making it easier to reach these destinations from Belize by air. Flores Guatemala

Flores, Guatemala is home to one of the most famous Mayan ruins known as Tikal. The city also features a few colonial buildings, a historic church and a Spanish plaza. Its many restaurants are easily accessible while  walking the city’s charming narrow cobblestone streets. With all this island city has to offer, it is much more than just a travel hub.  See TripAdvisor’s top Flores Attractions.

Tropic Air has a daily flight from Philip Goldson International Airport in Belize City to Flores at 4:40 pm with a return flight at 8:30 am.

Roatan Honduras

If you are looking to expand your dive vacation, you may want to island hop on down to Roatan in Honduras. Besides the amazing diving and snorkeling, this modern island offers quite a few other great adventures to be had, many under $50 U.S. Click here to see a list of TripAdvisor’s things to do in Roatan.

Tropic Air offers a daily flight to Roatan, leaving Belize City at 4:15 pm with a return flight that leaves Roatan at 7:00 am.

San Pedro Sula Honduras

San Pedro Sula is the second largest city in Honduras and is located in the Cortes Department, which is in the northwest corner of the country. This city of over 1 million people offers a diverse number of adventures such as visiting their Mayan ruins, a Garifuna village or even their very modern shopping mall.  There are some known issues with safety in San Pedro Sula so, as with traveling to any foreign country, be aware of your surroundings.

Tropic Air departs Belize City Sunday – Friday at 4:15 pm with a return flight that leaves San Pedro Sula Monday – Saturday at 8:30 am.

Tegucigalpa Honduras

Tegucigalpa is the capital and most populated city in Honduras. Along with its twin city of Comayagüela, they are known as the cultural center of the country with many museums and art galleries to explore. Travelers who enjoy cultural attractions will enjoy this city.

Another popular destination for tourists is the town of Valle de Angeles located to the east of the city. It is the best place to buy souvenirs and craft items and is especially well-known for its woodwork.

Tropic Air departs Monday to Friday at 4:15 pm and has a return flight that leaves Tegucigalpa daily at 7:00 am also Monday to Friday.
Note: This one is not non-stop. There is a 15 minute stop in San Pedro Sula on the way to Tegucigalpa and 45 minutes on the way back to Belize (hence the same departure time from BZE).

Of course, the dates and times of flights are subject to change. I will my best to keep this Page updated, however, of course the departure times that show on the Tropic Website is what you should go by.
