I started this post about the same time last night [10:30pm] and other work has kept me so busy I am finally just getting back to it – blogging on Belize time. Never made it home from up north, and am totally enjoying being lost in North Ambergris Caye and working in a different office environment. I had every intention of going south today, had my bags packed and ready this morning but it just never happened. After a long day of work and a delicious dinner at Aji, Cowboy n Leisa both said just stay – I had pork tenderloin stuffed with mango and pineapple, Cowboy had coconut seafood soup and Leisa lobster fritters.
This working vacation has been quite a food fest, Cowboy Doug and I had a nice breakfast with Cris and Grant by the pool this morning, I polished off my usual American breakfast with fry jacks – yum. Last night we ended walking down the beach to Bean restaurant at ak’Bol yoga retreat, it is only 5 min or less from Grand Caribe Resort. We enjoyed yummy food and good company, Kirsten and Jim, then Milio, Captain Green, Sir Andrew and Ricardo turned up. I posted pics of what we ordered below I had the shrimp quesadilla, Cowboy and Leisa both did breakfast for dinner. Kirsten gave me a piece of carrot cake to try, I am eating it right now right now for a late night snack – thanks girlfriend it is totally hitting the spot and helping me get the job done.
While I was editing today, I found myself dealing with a tech issue and thought the solution I found would be a good tech tip to share. I had a file on my flash drive that would not let me delete it no matter what I tried. After scanning and making sure there was no virus, I Googled how to get a corrupted folder off your flash drive and found World Start Best Tech tips. I decided on option number 5 – check your drive. In the properties menu, select tools tab and under the error checking option, click check now button. You will be presented with 2 options: Automatically fix the file system errors and scan for and attempt recovery of bad sectors, they recommend checking both. It worked like a charm and I was able to delete the bad file off my flash drive.
